^^^^^ very odd, when i run it says it can only be installed on "Secondrun.tv can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Home Premium or Ultimate Edition."
oh well
^^^^^...I thought the Windows 7 Beta WAS an Ultimate Edition..? Is the problem in that it checks specifically for VISTA Ultimate as opposed to just ULTIMATE?

In case you need help testing it with the extenders, I would be glad to try it with my xbox 360.
BTW does 2nd run tv support joost channels?

I, too, cannot install on Win 7 beta. Any tip or tricks to get around the message saying it only works on Win Vista? Really want to try out this product! Great Work!

Seems like there's some kind of disconnect here. Some Windows 7 users (myself included) have been able to install the plugin without any problem. Others have had to use Orca. Is there any difference in the way Windows 7 was installed? For example - did some people do an upgrade to Win7 on top of Vista, as opposed to a fullinstall.
I, myself, did a clean install on to a wiped laptop.

^^^^ well gues the way you install win7 has nothing to do with the problem. I did an upgrade. I thought he took out the check from windows version so that it would install on win7, I read that on a post of his.

I agree that it was unlikely that the way you installed Win7 had anything to do with it. However, there's enough success stories of people installing the plugin on Win7 without resorting to workarounds that it seems reasonable to ask some questions. I'm not meaning any offense here - I was just trying to start a discussion that might help Yaggs narrow down the issue.

Is it just me or does everyone have an issue where it tell you there is an update, even though you did the update.
Yea, Mine does that as well (Tells me there is an update) I requested that the date of the build be put on the download page so it's easier to tell which one you have.
re:"I really wish you would add all the pics in with the installer so we didn't have to download then everytime we load second run"
I agree downloading them each time sucks, however I think instead of being part of the installer, they should be cached to the local machine once they have been downloaded and then just loaded from cache each time there after. In order to keep them current, maybe have it re-download things cached more then 48 hours ago...

This great; Runs fine on Vista Premium. I'd also like to offer to test iit on the Xbox extender. I have tried the current build, and it will open, but you have no ability to select options once hulu opens.
I think that people using 64bit Windows 7 are having trouble installing SecondRun. 32bit users are not affected, it appears.

I too downloaded the newest version, and it still states that a new version exists (maybe an internal beta or something). Works decent in Media Center on Vista Ultimate x64. I just wish there was a way to store the images on the HDD, maybe in the cache as someone above suggested, that would automatically update when necessary. As for on the 360, the system will work for video, but you cannot interact with the hulu website at all. I even tried plugging in a mouse to the 360, but apparently it does not have drivers for mice. Also, on the 360, there is no webpage audio (from hulu), but the media center still has audio. I did read on the site that you were looking to build a stable version for the PC before porting it over the extenders. If you need any help testing this on the computer or over extenders, let me know. I'm not excellent at coding, but I can get by. I would be able to donate some of my time, as for the time being, I work for Circuit City (maybe for a couple weeks). I'll have some free time coming up here.

Brad, I think you are correct... x64 user here at 7 BETA.
eeeek
I think whether it installs without using Orca or not in Windows 7 depends on if you have the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Ident key set to a value. Though I can install in Windows 7 x64, I can't actually use it, due to it wanting the Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI assembly version 6.0.6000.0 when I seem to have 6.1.0.0 as reported byt he assembly directory (DLL version 6.1.2019.0).
I fired up a pair of VMwares with Windows 7 beta and you guys are correct 32bit fine 64bit is broken with secondrun
